Hello! It’s been some time since my last update. This week, I was blessed with an incredible chance to capture a surprise engagement shoot for an extraordinary couple amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Penticton, BC. The sheer beauty of the Okanagan region provided us with a myriad of enchanting backdrops, as if nature itself conspired to orchestrate a profoundly romantic experience for these two souls embarking on their journey of eternal love.
We made sure to gather just before the sun gracefully descended, entering what we refer to as the golden hour. The lighting at that time is nothing less than pure magic. The groom-to-be was buzzing with excitement as we chatted, ironing out the plans for the engagement’s grand unveiling. Every detail meticulously handled, everything falling into place flawlessly. A meticulously crafted masterpiece, —a love story painted with sunset hues. As s an engagement and wedding photographer in Vernon, BC, I feel truly blessed to witness and capture such extraordinary moments of love.
As he gracefully knelt, tears welled up in everyone’s eyes. The love shining in the bride-to-be’s gaze said it all. With a resounding “yes,” their fate was sealed. With heartfelt embraces, they reveled in unfiltered joy. The bubbly was popped, and now it was time for celebration. Cheers to their radiant journey!Â
And that’s a wrap! Another update complete. I extend my heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to browse through these captivating engagement photos. I’m thrilled to share that my summer calendar is brimming with wedding celebrations, so be sure to stay tuned for more exciting updates on the horizon. Your continued support means the world to me.
Hello! It’s been a minute since I’ve last been able to post an update. I had the wonderful opportunity to do an engagement shoot for this super lovely couple and we had quite a lot of fun doing it!
At around 6:30 we met up at a beautiful trail in Vernon, BC in Carlson Park. I love this park for various reasons. One of which is that within five minutes of walking, you find yourself in a completely different area than when you first started which makes it excellent for photos. Varying scenery makes for interesting photoshoots. At around 6:30 we met up at a beautiful trail in Vernon, BC in Carlson Park. I love this park for various reasons. There you have it! I’m looking forward to shooting their wedding this coming year so make sure to check back for that. This was a blast and I can’t wait to capture their special day.
Hello friends! I’ve been excited to share this wedding sampler with you. It’s probably one of my most favorite updates because I felt it captured the true beauty of Okanagan, BC. Not to mention the set up of the venue was truly stunning. I had a lot to work with and it all turned out fantastic
The bride and groom rented this insanely beautiful AirB&B up past Joe Rich, BC for both the ceremony and reception. I’ve only driven up that road a handful of times and completely forgot how beautiful the area is. Full of lush green fields and untouched forests over-looking what seems like the entire valley. I highly recommend taking a day trip up there!
I really enjoyed getting to know the bride and groom’s family. Everyone was so inviting and warm.
I was so thankful to have caught this picture of the groom’s first glance at his bride walking down the aisle. He just couldn’t stop smiling.
She was pretty smitten too!
Again, the photos speak for themselves. Not only did I have the pleasure of working with a stunning couple (which always makes my job easy), but the decor was absolutely breathtaking.
Had some time to sneak in a few family formals before heading out to another location.
The groomsmen took this opportunity to sneak in a couple of beers too.
Definitely had some fun with these! You don’t always have such a large wedding party to work with so it’s great to try new ideas.
Back to the reception! Also on a less important note (but I still feel the need to mention), they had the most AMAZING food at their reception. I would definitely give a shout out to whoever catered for them if I knew the name!
The night ended perfectly. The newlyweds shared their last dance under streams of twinkle lights which made for the most beautiful lighting.

On Saturday the 15th of June I had the privilege of capturing this beautiful wedding. Let’s just say I had a hard time choosing which photos to put into this sneak peek because there were so many phenomenal photos.
I was just about finished preparing my pour-over coffee when I looked through the window blinds to see what state the weather was going to be for us today. It was already a hot one without a cloud in the sky. Another reason why I love shooting weddings in Okanagan, BC.
Half past nine in the morning I set off to meet the Bride, her bridesmaids and family at a beautiful house up Silver Star road in Vernon, BC. Soon as I arrived I could feel the energy and excitement of the morning rising. The bride was getting her hair and makeup done while the bridesmaids helped each other get ready. Everything was bustling.
The Brides mother was the sweetest. So much love and care were put into making sure everything was running smoothly and on time. Down to the last detail, everything was in its rightful place.
The moment when the mother of the bride does the special honor of making sure the dress is done up to perfection is one I never get over.
With a full belly, I was off to meet up with the groomsmen. These guys have been friends for years and you could tell. Lots of laughter in between the more serious moments. Jordan quickly transferred his written vows from his phone to paper. The excitement and reality of what blessings today had for him were quickly starting to sink in.
Just like that, we were off to the venue for both the ceremony and reception. They decided to pick this rural property out in Falkland, BC that worked as a perfect canvas for them to create an intimate, rustic ceremony that was completely their own. It was full of personal touches. A vintage wooden table was set up for the gifts, DIY wedding decor galore, and a timeless upright piano was planted amidst the grass along with other string instruments to accompany it. I can honestly say this was one of the prettiest weddings I’ve ever shot
There wasn’t one dry eye after their personal vows were shared. Their love for one another was felt as you watched them pour out their hearts to each other.
Now for one of my favourite parts of the day. Being able to play around with this vintage truck that was exceptional. Something about a vintage truck makes it easy to capture a timeless and rustic feel. That’s what they were going for, so they nailed it!
Man, was time going by fast. It felt like I blinked and it was time for the reception. The setup was absolutely spectacular. From the rows of wooden picnic tables, strung-up lights crisscrossing above us, handmade cutlery holders with your name handwritten on them, to the eclectic vintage sofas placed sporadically amongst the wooden chairs. This reception was something special and they knew it.
Did I mention they had breakfast for dinner on the menu? I’m telling you, they had everything from eggs benedict to pancakes with fruit compote and the works. Not to mention the endless fresh fruit and bacon! Gumtree Catering truly outdid itself.
The Bride and Groom were just about ready to leave for their honeymoon to Hawaii, so I had one last favor to ask of them. I had everyone gather around, making room for the newlyweds to drive through and say a final farewell to their friends and family. In that spectacular truck I wish was at every wedding.
This wedding was something else. It’s one that I’ll never forget and I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to capture it. Thank you for taking the time to check out this wedding sneak peek! Until next time…
Hey friends! I’m back with another wedding sampler and I think you’re all going to really love this one. This time we headed out to O’Keefe Ranch in Okanagan, BC for a beautiful laid back wedding. The couple kept it wonderfully simple, surrounded by their closest friends and family.
The bridal party took their time to get ready, enjoying a glass of wine in between taking turns doing one another’s hair and makeup. Emotions were elevating as time went on. A mixture of anxiousness and excitement, which is to be expected!
Professional hairstylist for this wedding, a close friend had the pleasure of doing the bride’s hair and I think it looked absolutely stunning.
So it left some time for a proper toast to start off the day.
Just like that, we’re off to the ceremony!
The day was bright with sun, so finding a shadier place for some formals proved to be a little challenging, but we did it! They turned out fantastic.
We’re back at the reception where everything was set up for the perfect, “backyard” style dinner. Think barbequed hamburgers, hotdogs, multiple salads to choose from, and all the fixings! Everyone was relaxing and enjoying their time visiting with one another.
Some homemade mini muffins for dessert!
There you have it! The night was magical, and I think the pictures speak for themselves. Thank you for taking the time to scroll through this sneak peek! Keep checking back for new ones to come!
Have I mentioned just how grateful I am to photograph weddings in Okanagan, BC? I was fortunate to capture yet another wonderful fall wedding at Bertram Creek Park in Kelowna BC and the day couldn’t have gone better. The couple was amazing, the wedding party was incredible, and the whole vibe was close and intimate.
First stop was to see how the bridal party was doing and to steal the wedding dress for a couple shots. The day was starting out without a hitch
Both the bride and groom got ready at the Eldorado Hotel in Kelowna, BC so that made it super easy to move between the two parties. For what it’s worth, the rooms at the Eldorado have exceptional natural lighting for photos. I couldn’t have asked for more.
After the finishing touches were all taken care of we were off to Bertram Park.
There you have it! Another wedding done. I hope you enjoyed the sneak peak!
